Indiana

If I had to describe my trip to Indiana in one word, it might be "wet". At least the first half of the trip was completely water-logged. It just so happens that my visit coincided with a record breaking number of tornado's this year in the Midwest and the resulting record amount of rainfall.

I heard one person on the radio say that over 2 million acres of farm land in the Midwest is now unusable for the entire season. That's means the price of corn goes up again... Corn was already inflated because of this nation's great 'bio fuel' experiment. Will we be the only society in history to exhaust our food supply for the sake of fuel economy? Well, I guess you know how I feel about it.
However, I did manage to navigate around all the washed out roads and detour signs to Andy and Abby's house on my day off. It was great to spend some time with them again. The last time we were in Indiana together was last year at their wedding. (Of course, now that Andy is married, Abby doesn't let him play Nintendo any more...yea right!)

Rainbow Road is tough!
