Congratulations to Luke asnd Yuko Elliot on the birth of their second child this past weekend. If you've been reading this blog for any time at you, you know that Luke is a good friend of mine and we've shared many adventures together, both in Japan and in our days as summer camp staff in Canada. This is an excerpt from an an email I received from Luke.
"We are happy to report that Yuko gave birth to 美信 (Mia) Faith naturally and efficiently at 9:28 a.m., Saturday, 19 July...美信 (read as "Mia" and pronounced as "me" plus "a" as in "a girl") is made up of the Japanese kanji characters meaning "beautiful" and "faith." When speaking English we address her by her middle name, which is Faith.
Weight: 3876g (or approximately 8.53lbs)--modest by North American standards, but considered rather large in Japan."
Luke has promised an update on his blog with some more photos but since he is currently (and understandably) busy, I thought I would break the news here.

Heyyy, thanks Dave :)
I've finally gotten around to catching up on other people's blogs this morning, so maybe this afternoon I will finally get around to fulfilling my promise of posting on my own blog :P
I see you finally made a post! Emi and I looked at all the pictures last night. Still can't believe how big Grace is getting!
