My first trip working with Get Motivated Seminars was to Cedar Rapids, Iowa... or as I like to call it, "fly over country". Not much happening in this town. Except trains rolling into town all through the night and sub-freezing temperatures in April.
I've been in town for almost four days and spent most of that time in my Hotel Room. Today is an off day, and I would like to get out and explore the town a little bit but today has been the coldest day since I got here, and even snowed this morning. Sadly, although I knew it would be colder than Florida, I didn't really pack enough warm clothes for this climate. I will have another day off on Thursday so I hope its warmer.
So far, the coolest thing about this place is The Veteran's Memorial Colosseum where we had the workshop. The huge stone building was built in 1927 and is actually in the center of the picture of Cedar Rapids above. It was a cool place but the ceiling was so high that we had a little trouble with the sound when we were setting up.
I would also like to take a minute to say congratulations to my good friends Shin and Yoko who are getting married in Tokyo tomorrow. I really wish I could be there to celebrate with you guys! God bless you as you start your new life together. お祝い !

I was reading this update out loud and when I read that it even snowed that morning, Amy was behind me and she had this very disgusted reaction. Hee hee.
I was not at all prepared, neither mentally nor materially for the weather. I'm looking forward to getting back to Florida for a few days next week.
