At least I'm not in Cedar Rapids

About a month ago I was in Cedar Rapids, Iowa doing some workshops and since then, Cedar Rapids has been in the news quite a bit. Last week the town was hit with a "500 year flood" and it was completely evacuated. Its crazy to see these pictures because I was just there. In this picture, the big brown building on the extreme right is the hotel I stayed at. The second picture is the view of across the street from the hotel. As you can see, down town is totally under water.

The tall building in the distance was the building we had our first workshop at. It sits on a small island in the middle of the river. The island is no longer visable from the air.

So, as depressing as it is to be in Fort Wayne Indiana for a second week, I can take solace in the fact that at the very least, I'm not under water in Cedar Rapids
