My pre-dawn departure from Tampa began with a 5am pick up by Bryan and a 45 minute drive to the Tampa Airport. I meant to thoroughly document the trip with pictures and video, but my motivation seemed to falter as consciousness left me...

This being my third trip to Japan, I wasn't necessarily surprised by the length of the flight. Its just that it never seems to get shorter. My attempts at sleep on the plane were only partially successful. I inadvertently became best friends with a Korean lady who did not speak English or Japanese. Aparently my over-developed skills at body language were the only way she could get what she wanted from the flight attendants. Some how I feel like the language barrier has never stopped this lady from getting what she has wanted in the past.
I snapped this picture as we began to make our approach over the land toward Narita Airport. It was very cloudy and raining at the time and I couldn't see any land out of my window until the plane made this final turn and I could see the coast.

I just missed you. I got home from Japan on Sunday :)
Have a good time.
Hey Stephen! I saw some of the pictures of you from SYME. It looked like you had a good time! It would have been fun to spend a day in Tokyo together though.
And I'll do my best Druski...lets see.
7:30am update: I'm sitting in the kitchen contemplating the wisdom of scrapping a razor sharp metal blade across my face every morning.
