Some New Friends
This past Saturday, Jason and I met Larry at the book store and had a great conversation that ended with Larry inviting us over to his home for dinner. We went Monday evening and enjoyed the cooking of his wife,
Luan and also got to meet his son, Shaun. Larry has been all over the world and has led a very interesting life. We had a great time and enjoyed listening to all his stories.
Luan is from Thailand and it was really nice to hear about where she is from and how she grew up... also she can cook :)

Larry is very much into the arts and he and Shaun operate a sculpting studio where they work with other artists, on anything from bronze to concrete. Their home has an impressive assortment of sculptures and paintings, as well as a quite respectable library.

We stayed longer then we expected and enjoyed our time
immensely. The only unfortunate thing is that we met just before I am leaving for Japan for six weeks. But we've already made plans for our next dinner party and I'm very much looking forward to it.
