I found mochi in Sacramento. I really enjoy daifuku but sadly it is just one of those things that is not easy to get in the United States, especially on the east coast. It was not hard to find a Japanese grocery store in Sacramento just by doing a google search, but then Emi found this great little place, some what off the beaten path, called "Osakaya". They make all kinds of delicious mochi snacks fresh every day. I went there the other day and got some daifuku intending to let some of my work associates try them... some how once I got them back to my hotel room they disappeared before I could share them with any one. It only means that I will have to go back for more.
