Any one remember my post about a month ago where we found Kazu's Sushi? As it turns out, Kazu and his wife are Christians and were looking for help in their restaurant a few weeks ago so I put in an application. The money is much better then at Advance Auto Parts and it's a very pleasant, although some times high intensity working environment.

Here's Kazu behind the sushi bar.

I took these pictures the other day before we opened the doors to start serving lunch. It's quite the popular spot. Kazu does serve the best sushi in town so we get a lot of repeat customers but not too many Japanese people come in. I guess there just isn't a very large Japanese population in this area. Still, for me its a good opportunity to not get rusty with my Japanese and actually learn new vocabulary. Plus Kazu is a nice guy to work for.

But things are not perfect in dAVE land. Last night there was a pretty big storm and I was not home when it started. The dog (named Zelda) is absolutely terrified of thunder and lightning and while I was gone she urinated all over my bed, and in her nervousness tore holes in the MOGU micro bead pillows that Emi gave me.

In the picture above you can see her resting on my bed with my blue Mogu man still alive and well in the upper left hand corner. This was taken several days ago. Since I arrived in Florida Zelda has assumed partial ownership of my bed and often sleeps at the foot, and she also tends to go there when she has been scared by some thing. Sadly since I was not home until late last evening she apparently could not stop from wetting herself on my bedding. She has been appropriately punished and from now on the door to the room will be secured when neither Jason or myself is home.

Goodbye Mogu man...

The MOGU man looks okay to me. Did it get ripped badly? But I guess it is safe to say good bye since you don't want little micro beeds floating around or stick to everything you have.

Fugi wrote about you in her blog. She said that it is nice to have Dave on campus. He's been my mental support. He broght "Koala no march" and "lamune" as an encouragement gift. and it was because of him that I can use internet with my laptop now. So, great job!! ;)
