Routine Maintenance

Several weeks ago I decided I could no longer stand the squeaking sounds coming from my front brakes and decided to change my brake pads. And I thought that since I would have the car up off the ground and I would be taking apart the brakes, I should probably change the whole front brake system. So I got some new front rotors, pads, and calipers from Advance Auto Parts.

The job actually proved more difficult then I had planned because my Pathfinder has a type of Hub for the 4WD that I never seen before. Getting the whole thing apart was kind of a headache actually. Jason had to help me.

Eventually we got it all apart and back together again. If you look closely and the picture above you can see the new rotor, in comparison to the old one that Jay and I were working on in the other photos. Also, in this last picture I have the old brake pad on the left and the new one on the right. There was nothing left on the old pads, it was metal on metal so its good that I got it done when I did.
